Carrara statuary marble is very precious, every time I work on it I put a lot of attention.
The most dalicate phase is polishing, with the high speed rotary tools can easily hurts the sculpture, this process lasts the same time as sculpting; for this artwork one week carving and another week smoothing with sand paper different grits and then polishing with cotton brush and paste. The sculpture stands safe and stably in all positions, either on the transparent plexiglass base with the stick in the center or on the table without base. The whole surface is uniformly smooth and polished carefully. I hope I gave all details about this artwork.
