An original framed moorland waterfall scene landscape painting inspired by the wild tarns or small glacial lakes of the British countryside. Particularly the Lake District of England, the Welsh mountains where they are called Llyns or corrie lochans in the Scottish Highlands.
In this artwork I have tried to convey the dramatic weather, with it's misty clouds and dramatic light on the steep rocky, heather and bracken covered hills and shallow lakes with their small streams, flowing down the hillside moors.
Painted in muted autumnal brown, ochre and beige colours with a dramatic pink coloured cloudy sky in quality artists oil paint on board, in a modern contemporary impressionist style, using a palette knife and sometimes my fingers instead of brushes, to create an atmospheric painting.


Painted with a palette knife and fingers, using quality artists oils on a square format 22.5" x 22.5" (58 x 58cm) board, framed in a modern contemporary square profile white limewash frame, with cord ready to hang.
