It's been years since I brought back a good-sized piece of wild cherry wood from the forest. It wasn't too big to carry in my backpack to my studio. If I had known it would take years to reach its final form, I would have started anyway.
Luna, meaning moon, refers to historical natural theories with their association of plants and 'planets'. The cherry tree is thus linked to the moon. In any case, it's a charming, dynamic sculpture made from wild cherry wood. It's treated with oil and mounted on a dark stone base, which can be changed as needed, depending on its future surroundings.
