My paintings are often inspired by my love and fascination with ever-changing skies and cloud formation.
In this piece, looking across the calm Welsh waters, I tried to capture the bright golden hue of sunrise, as is crept slowly across the horizon.
The light ignites the gold, as it shimmers and reflects on the dark waters beneath
- a very striking pallet.
I am always drawn to the movement and mood of the skies and sea - Calm and dreamy, to dramatic and surreal.
I study the sea and skies over Anglesey, North Wales and also the Cheshire hills, close to my home.
