This striking work depicts a cityscape in America's Midwest. I was struck by the silver caravan, an echo of diners and of the open road, of daydream meals of sugary innocence, of milky shakes and crispy fries. The city is deserted, a corner of tranquility, of ghosts perhaps. I wander seeing and unseen. The work is rich in colour and mood. The canvas is 0.4 inches deep and can therefore hang without a frame if wished.
