Original artwork description
I met Michael in 2019 at Shoreditch in London. He was sat against a wall that was painted with the most colourful graffiti. Michael was exhausted and hungry. He had been on the streets for about 5 years and I felt that he had reached a point where he had now escaped to another world, he had given up on this world. Michael also suffered from mental health issues as so many of the homeless do. I have not seen Michael since July of this year despite going back to Shoreditch a number of times.
