Original artwork description:
This piece was constructed on a hand-stretched canvas. It was meticulously created with soft layers of acrylic paint collaged with painted strips of torn watercolor paper. Some of the layers have text applied with photo transfer techniques. The colors were inspired by the sea, sky, and beach of my home in Fort Lauderdale, FL. Coastal Sunset is the perfect companion piece if you need to cover a large wall.
Typically my work is photography based, so painting is a freeing experience and an exercise in creating an immersive color experience.
This large painting is the perfect way to bring luxury into any home or beach house, and can be beautifully displayed on a dining room or bedroom wall or above a sofa.
