Original artwork description
This sculpture is constructed out of two different shapes that merge together, into one. It is carved by hand, the traces of the pointed chisel give rhythm and pattern to the surface.
The dark green diabas is a volcanic igneous rock, and therefore very suitable for outdoor use. It is a tough and beautiful material, but it turns out that it’s not easy to make the color visible in the photos.
