Idyllic; we need more of this in our world today!!!! I have become pretty captivated with my a Grandson, Dax, who is now upright, and getting around like nobody's business.... The one characteristic about him that just melts me, is what joy he gets out of giving!!! He is tireless in the picking something up, just to hand it over to me!!!! Sweetness personified, this kid.... As I was beginning this piece though, I did not know it was going to become a story of a Boy and his Momma. I "saw" only the position of the woman's feet, so just built the image like a puzzle, from there.... Polka Dot Hair did seem a bit over the top, but the more the painting came together, the less distracting that detail seemed. And anyway; as silly as it might be, I think silliness grossly underrated, so I am happily doing my part!!! The image is comprised of Paints and Papers; both decorative and painted papers, and varnished several times to seal it. The canvas is painted around the edges so it can hang, unframed.
