Following on from past Big Blue and Big Blue Horizon paintings. This work deals with ultra intense colour. The sky is deep Blue set off by strong orange & yellow fields scattered with Poppies, the overall effect coupled with the use of metallic green oils creates an intense shimmering across the painting as the eye makes its journey toward the horizon.

Painting mediates between clean flat washes of colour to heavy intense 'impasto' thick layers of paint gradually built up over the days creating an almost 3 dimensional aspect to the foreground.

Painted on very high quality thick cotton canvas and stretched over handmade Gallery style wooden stretcher frame.

Pictures are taken with a canon 450D camera in dull daylight in flash off mode and are as faithful as i can take them.

Painting will come varnished and ready to hang with sealed in certificate to the rear and signed of course. Please note edges of the work will be painted sympathetically so buyer has a choice as to whether they choose to have work framed.
