The beautiful pale winter landscape is starting to change, the sun is higher and rocks are starting to show under the blanket of pure white snow. There is a crunch as it begins to melt, the top layer like icing on a cake. I love the pale, white winter mornings. The light is almost translucent, the rays from the sun sparkle and a brand new day is ahead.

By building up many layers of texture and colour, using brushes and palette knives, Angelika creates a rich surface and vibrant relationships between random shapes and deliberate markings in her work. She also uses watercolour and oil pastels to heighten the impressions and create depth and movement in her paintings. The drips in Angelika’s work illustrate the endless cycle of growth and decay in organic structures, which again is a reflection of life itself.
