Handcrafted sculpture on Lecce stone designed and created by artist Andrea Serra. The upper spirals suggest the motion of the wind, while the taut strings represent the vibration of sound, as if nature itself played an invisible melody. With this work, Andrea Serra transforms the stone into visual harmony, where the solidity of the material seems to become light and musical, giving shape to a poetry sculpted over time.
The work is entirely done by hand on this stone which is found only in a very few areas of southern Italy, namely in lower Salento in the province of Lecce. This particular stone of marine origin, rich in plant and animal fossils dating back several million years, makes it suitable for processing details.
The Musica del vento sculpture, like every work by Andrea Serra, being hand-carved, is unique and signed in engraving by the artist.
