"MEDITERRANEAN RETREAT I" is a small format, abstract original painting in various shades of blue and turquoise and an eye-catching red-orange element. Inspired by water and the sea.

Blue is the color of the sky and water, the source of life. In color psychology, blue stands for calm, trust and stability. In a nearly monochromatic work, it becomes even more interesting to explore the color and its possible contrasts: shape meets line, color meets non-color, light meets dark.

Just before this work I finished an extra large blue work and was still in a blue mood; blue creates such a wonderful atmosphere of sea, lonely bays, waves and lazy summer days! The custom made float frame with its warm honey oak color matches a modern interior as well as a more classical, see interior examples! There are three "MEDITERRANEAN RETREAT" works, they're perfect as a group, vertical or horizontal hanging. Find examples for this in the additional pic.

Signed and dated on the back.
Ready to hang.
Framed in a handmade wooden float frame (natural oak, oiled).
