Foreground ochre and umber cliffs are built with dense, broken strokes and cross-hatching to evoke rugged texture, while cool and warm shifts enhance volume. Midground dark crags dissolve into cobalt sea, atmospheric perspective achieved through thin veils of color. The distant islands and lighthouse recede with softened, hazy handling. The sea’s horizontal strokes interweave blue, green, and gray, creating movement and reflected light; nearshore foam picked out with brisk, pointed highlights.
