This painting is a room inside Saint Basil's Cathedral, in Moscow.
I think that our subconscious mind collects a lot of imagery related to the temple and its meaning. I loved San Basil's design, but I wanted to borrow the design without its religious background. This painting is a representation of the personal rite, a cherished moment, a place for fun and enjoyment.
