Red Bull RB120

An original painting of Max Verstappen claiming a sensational victory at the 2024 Brazilian Grand Prix, overcoming a challenging start from 17th on the grid. Held at a rain-soaked Interlagos circuit, the chaotic race featured red flags, safety car periods, and ever-changing conditions. Verstappen showcased his exceptional skill and strategic prowess, producing several excellent overtakes and benefiting from timely race interruptions to climb through the field. He seized the lead after a late safety car restart and finished 19.5 seconds ahead of Alpine’s Esteban Ocon and Pierre Gasly. This win virtually ensured Verstappen’s fourth World Championship title.
In this piece I have painted Verstappen working his way around the tight infield section of Interlagos. The array of different driving lines can be seen with the reflections of water on the track surface. I wanted to show how many drivers took different lines to find grip on the wet track, something Verstappen ultimately did in a masterful way to crush his championship rivals.
PAINTING IS DELIVERED IN A COMPLEMENTARY FRAME CHOSEN BY THE ARTIST.
