After a dramatic start in the rain, Max Verstappen jumped straight from third to first after going wheel-to-wheel with Lewis Hamilton over the curbs at turn one. Verstappen then produced a great drive to lead all the way in very challenging conditions, to win his 11th Grand Prix race.
This painting shows Verstappen pushing his Red Bull to the limit over the curbs, in the latter stages of a race. The green, white and red curbing is an iconic element of the Imola circuit, and was an important factor during the Emilia Romagna GP weekend. In this painting, sparks can be seen as Verstappen runs over the extra raised curb on the outside of the Variante Alta chicane.
