Story about the painting:
"The painting is based on the biblical story of Adam and Eve, when Eve plucked an apple from the forbidden tree of knowledge in paradise.
However, my painting develops this story into another - philosophical dimension.
An apple, a symbol of knowledge, is held by both - a woman and a man.
Knowledge is depicted here as a common wealth that unites both in a positive sense. When a woman and a man understand life in the same way, agree on common opinions and attitudes, stand steadfastly by each other, then they create a harmonious, inseparable couple.
Knowledge does not divide, but unites. The message of the painting is the need to develop the personality of each of the pair, the need for dialogue and convergence of opinions.
If the knowledge of the couple is on a comparable level, they erase the differences and thus the much-needed unity occurs."
