In emigration, for a long time I tried to find people who would understand me better than others. The language people spoke sounded strange and incomprehensible.
I was looking for people from my country, hoping that our connection would be sincere, that the context and the problems we carried would be clear to both of us.
The masks are taken off. We are alone together, and our true essence remains only between us.
