Artwork description
An etching with chine collé and hand finishing which depicts the market square in Cambridge as viewed from the top of the tower of St Mary's Church. This etching was made for a Printmakers Council Exhibition 'Inspired By' and was made in response to work by Helena Markson, one of the founders of the Printmakers Council, of which I am a member.
I used sugar lift for the drawing and a yellowish Yuki Gampi paper for the chine collé. The white highlights are hand painted with gouache.
