Original artwork description
Marine Rhapsody
I was inspired by the turquoise waters and endless horizons of the Turks and Caicos Islands to create “Marine Rhapsody”. As I watched the waves rise, swell, and retreat, I felt as though the sea was composing its own symphony, each movement distinct yet part of a continuous flow. I sought to capture this rhythm, the interplay of light and color, and the delicate balance between the ocean’s strength and its serenity.
In this triptych, each panel becomes a musical note: a prelude of gentle motion, a crescendo of energy, and a coda of reflective calm. Through texture and layers of color, I hope to convey the ocean’s voice, inviting viewers to experience the pulse, poetry, and luminous beauty of the Caribbean Sea.
--------------------------------------------------------------
I don’t have a team behind me.
I paint, I wire, I brand, I pack. I take photos of the paintings, I post on social media, and I search for the best-quality painting, packing, and shipping supplies. I created my website, and I maintain it. I do the marketing. I do the art shows where I set up, pack, prep, load, and unload everything myself.
I am self-taught in every single step of this. I’m not complaining, just stating the facts. I never overcharge because I prioritize people having access to my art, which means my profit margins are usually small.
I don’t make art to decorate the walls of my own home. I make it to express and capture feelings and beautiful places, and I want people to be able to experience in their own space what my art communicates. I’m not pretentious, just detail-oriented.
So please know: behind every painting is just me. A simple woman with feelings who, no matter how simple or minimalist a painting may look, has poured her whole heart and everything else into it. Behind that serene ocean painting you are looking at is a bit of a hot mess who does everything with intention, love, and - yes - an extremely OCD brain (but that’s another story entirely).
