The painting tells the story of the Mediterranean, from the past to the present. About the sea trade from the many different countries around the sea, about the human suffering of refugees in lifeboats and also about happy moments. One discovers the fauna and its threat, the pollution of the water, but also the possible salvation. The artwork reflects the immense diversity and beauty of the Mediterranean region.
In this painting you will find stories, represented with collages and image transfers, between the layers of paint. Some parts are very clearly visible, others are barely recognizable or even completely hidden under other coats of paint, such as the story itself with its histories that we still remember, and others that are hidden - hidden moments forever.
