Original artwork description
After two years of shuffling inside and out, physically and mentally, this shape became my symbol.
As if every time I was looking up and wondering for some enlightenment to explain the situation.
the many restrictions that surround us during this era allowed me to think of colors as a mindscape, a little
parenthesis, a dystopian universe that makes me feel home and grounded no matter what is happening around me.
During my last year at the studio, I was trying to find a compromise between painting and sculpture.
Ideally, I wish to be able to cut in colors but also shape them.
In my practice, it is translated by drawing, and scaling them to connect with the viewer. this shape has been very meaningful in the last two years. the observation of light, constantly, from dawn to dusk, and capturing moments of enlightenment to be sure to remember.
I wish the viewer can find some relief and fit their own escape in this painting-sculpture, as a portal to their consciouness and unconsciouness. the more improtant connection we need is within.
