Magical Hare is a tender, enchanting artwork created with deep black oil stick on canvas, accented by bright, resonant blue pastel. I originally made this piece for my daughter’s nursery — I wanted the hare to look as realistic as possible, but also to feel like a messenger of happiness and kindness watching over the room. This is not just any hare, but a magical woodland creature — slender, lively, and full of natural energy. In many ancient mythologies, the hare is a mystical figure, a symbol of intuition, rebirth, and a guide between worlds. I wanted this artwork to carry that same sense of wonder and bring a feeling of protection and joy into the space where it lives. This drawing was the very first in my collection of magical animals for children, and it holds a special place in my heart. My wish is that every child who lives with this artwork grows up healthy, happy, and full of belief in goodness and wonder.
