On a recent painting trip to Lake Tahoe I discovered a magnificent grove of wild Lupine on my hike into the Desolation Wilderness. Peek season for wild flowers is June and nature’s most beautiful bouquet was abundant. The lupine includes a glimpse of the trail into the wilderness and the sunny opening of large lupine with lavender, purple flowers growing out from a pine forest.
