Original artwork description:

This watercolour captures the calm, unhurried atmosphere of a pub at lunchtime, when the light pours in through tall windows and conversation settles into a gentle murmur. I was drawn to the way the figures dissolve into the space, allowing light, shadow and warmth to do most of the storytelling. I painted it to explore that familiar, fleeting moment of pause in the day, where people briefly come together before moving on again.
