Lucky Luke is a French-Belgian comic series, part parodic and part homage to the Wild West, starring the homonymous cowboy. Created by the Belgian cartoonist Morris.
Maurice de Bévère, known as Morris, (Kortrijk, Belgium, December 1, 1923 - Brussels, July 17, 2001), was a Belgian cartoonist.
Morris is considered one of the most notable Belgian cartoonists of the 20th century. His best known creation is the cowboy Lucky Luke (1955-2001), Morris wrote the first stories of him alone but later developed together with the French René Goscinny, who helped Morris a lot to define his humor
