Original artwork description
A 'Plein Air' (finished at home) painting of the beach at Rustington, W Sussex. I both proved and disproved two adages here. 1. Time and Tide (certainly Tide) wait for no man and, 2. Just because the sand is wet, it doesn't mean the tide is going out.... I had to make a hasty retreat as the incoming tide forced me further and further up the beach.
