Original artwork description
This is the tenth of my "Love" heart pieces which are made with moulded polymer clay.
Everyone needs Love.
So what better way to show your love for that special someone than to give a selection of beautifully coloured, hand crafted, love hearts 💕
I created sheets of clay for these hearts using the Mokume Gane technique, a decorative Japanese metal working technique, which originated from the 17th century when it was used to decorate samurai swords, and has been used with other materials such as polymer clay for many years now.
The sheets were then pressed into heart moulds to form the shapes.
Once fired they were attached to tiny foam board plinths and mounted on a heavy watercolour paper backing.
Materials used:
Polymer clay, foam board, watercolour paper in a box frame glazed with glass
Details:
- Relief on Paper on board
- One of a kind artwork
- Size: 19 x 19 x 3.3cm (framed) / 15 x 15cm (actual image size)
- Framed and ready to hang
- Signed on the front
- Style: Organic
- Subject: Abstract and non-figurative
