LOVE - Multi-coloured stripes with gold (2023)Relief by Amanda Deadman

This is the eighth of my "Love" heart pieces which are made with moulded polymer clay.

Everyone needs Love.
So what better way to show your love for that special someone than to give a selection of beautifully coloured, hand crafted, love hearts 💕

Firstly I made lots of different coloured layers of clay and joined them together to form the stripes, then cut slivers to form multiple striped veneers.
The veneers were then pressed into heart moulds to form the shapes.

Once fired I coloured one stripe on each heart with mirrored chrome effect gold, and attached them to tiny foam board plinths, then mounted them on a heavy watercolour paper backing.

This piece has a "Coastal Living" vibe with a weathered look blue frame.
