LOVE - Multi-coloured on aqua (2023)Relief by Amanda Deadman

This is the third of my "Love" heart pieces which are made with moulded striped polymer clay.

Everyone needs Love.
So what better way to show your love for that special someone than to give a selection of beautifully coloured, hand crafted, love hearts 💕

Firstly I made lots of different coloured layers of clay and joined them together to form the stripes, then cut slivers to form multiple striped veneers.
The veneers were then pressed into heart moulds to form the shapes.
Once fired they were attached to tiny foam board plinths and mounted on a heavy watercolour paper backing.

I will be making more of these pieces so watch this space :)

Polymer clay, foam board, coloured card in a box frame glazed with Perspex
