Original artwork description:
Not only the ballerina shoes inspired me, but most of al the story behind it. The shoes could have been for someone who has been dancing her entire life, but is not able to dance anymore (Lost Dream). But it could also be a young girl, wanting to dance but who is lacking the time, the money or the talent (also a Lost Dream). To symbolise this I've painted a subtile shadow, made of the knob and the bands of the ballerina shoes.
