The composition is inspired by the famous painting ‘Christina’s World’ by Andrew Wyeth 1947
My painting is about the longing for Spring through a long hard Winter. Storm damaged wood lies broken on the foreground with a steep hill ahead. The horizon is a metaphor for better times ahead. But the wait is long and it requires strength and perseverance to get there.
On stretched canvas with wooden stretcher frame so it can hang without an additional frame.
