Original artwork description:

Walking on the fells is my passion and this particular valley is completely unspoilt. After several miles along the valley bottom a small barn/bothy appeared after a turning a corner near a beautifully statutesque tree. I sketched it, made colour notes and photographed the moment. I wanted to capture the play of light which is so fleeting in an oil painting.

On returning to the studio I worked on the composition and started to produce the final artwork. It certainly lifts one's mood to see the beauty of light in nature.

Lone Tree is a framed original oil painting created and painted by myself. The back of the artwork is signed and you will receive a Certificate of Authenticity.
