Artwork description
A colour etching of London Fields Lido, an outdoor swimming pool in Hackney, East London, in summer.
This handmade original print started as a pencil sketch. I redraw my sketch onto grounded zinc before placing the plate in acid which 'bites' the exposed line, leaving grooves to hold ink. When the prints are dry I add a little pink watercolour to areas.
Orders are carefully wrapped in acid-free tissue, flat-packed between board and shipped signed and tracked within four days.
Materials used:
Somerset Velvet paper 300g, Intaglio printing inks, zinc plate, etching press
