Artwork description
Lockdown City Blues is a contemporary photomontage created through the layering of multiple photographic elements, textures and fragments of urban architecture. Inspired by the atmosphere of cities during periods of isolation and uncertainty, the work explores themes of memory, disconnection and resilience within the built environment.
The blurred boundaries between buildings, light and colour create a dreamlike cityscape that exists somewhere between reality and recollection. The work reflects my interest in how urban spaces absorb human experience and emotion, transforming familiar architecture into a landscape of memory. Produced as a giclée print on archival paper, Lockdown City Blues invites viewers to contemplate the fragile relationship between place, time and the collective experiences that shape our cities.
