Loch Shiel (2025)Monoprint by Rebecca Denton

This is a one-off handmade print or 'printed painting' of the soft light of morning over Loch Shiel in the Highlands.

Starting with a drawing, I then paint directly onto perpex using rollers, brushes and card, mark-making with various tools and wiping to reveal the white of the paper. The image is then printed onto damp paper just once, using a press.

I love this painterly printmaking technique as I'm forced to work quickly (before the ink dries), resulting in a unique spontaneity and energy coming to life in each print.

This original artwork will be wrapped in acid-free tissue, loosely rolled into a thick-walled cylinder and shipped signed and tracked within four days.
