Loch an Eilein is an extremely beautiful loch, situtated in Rothiemurchus Pine forests in the highlands of Scotland. It has a dramatic backdrop of the Cairngorms mountains, and a ruined island castle in the Loch itself.
This scene has been painted in oils in an impressionistic style, it is textured in parts and has been layered with pallet knife and brush.
