Original artwork description:

Hot wax, encaustic painting on gesso primed black cardboard 250 gsm.

I really like the statue of Little Princess, it was installed in 1989 on the Childen’s Day. The statue created by László Marton, a sculptor with Award Munkácsy. The Little Princess is sitting on the pedestrian street among the Danube in Budapest. The inspiration was his daughter who played a lot in her princess costume with her father's paper crown on her head. This sculpture inspired my artwork.

The procedure itself dates back to antiquity and has been known for thousands of years. Only few artists around the world work with wax on its own.
Pictures made with encaustic are characterized by bright color and silky light. Thanks to the well-preserving properties of the wax, the colors do not fade over time and retain their liveliness.
Encaustics paintings, like paintings taken with oil, must be protected from water and physical influences. Do not place under glass when framing!
Over time, they become dusty or slightly oxidized by the wax. In this case, it is advisable to wipe with a slightly crumpled kitchen paper towel and the painting regain their original brilliant color and shine.

This work will be delivered with an invoice and a signed certificate of authenticity. Carefully packaged and tracked shipping. I ship this works in cardboard boxes careful wrapped in bubble foil and protect the painting with cardboard.
If you like my paintings you can have a piece of art for your beloved place.
