Lisianthus in a Drop-Shaped Vase

This delicate watercolor still life was painted in two sessions, with a sense of spontaneity and joy of discovery.

The inspiration for this work came from an unusual asymmetrical glass vase that reminded me of a large drop of water. I chose a small bouquet of soft pink lisianthus flowers to complement its elegant shape and transparent beauty.

Painted in a gentle palette of pastel tones, this artwork captures the quiet charm of flowers, light, and glass. The painting was created using the traditional layered watercolor technique on high-quality Saunders Waterford watercolor paper, 300 gsm.
