In this piece, I tried to capture the ripples and reflections in water. The reflection of the blue sky above and the circulating ripples shimmer in the light.
The painting is textured and as light moves across the canvas, the raised texture is highlighted.
My paintings are often inspired by my love and fascination with ever-changing skies and cloud formation. I try to capture the movement and mood of the skies and sea - Calm and dreamy, to dramatic and surreal.
