I took my outdoor painting group (SFPP) to Lost Mine Lake where there are tailings from mining, evergreen forests and this particular lake which has water lilies. I wanted to capture the beauty and full spectrum of colors. Natural elements of raw rock and mineral tailings are in perfect balance with the softer tranquility of water lilies in this beautiful landscape.
