Painted en plein air in the Carpathian Mountains of western Ukraine, this piece captures the delicate beauty of lilacs in full bloom. The crisp mountain air mixed with the flower’s sweet fragrance, creating a heady, unforgettable atmosphere that I sought to preserve on canvas.

I created this still life during a plein air session alongside fellow Ukrainian artists, some of whom now exhibit internationally, including in the USA. Working with such talented painters was a joyful and inspiring experience — a chance to learn from masters and deepen my connection to the art world.

This painting is a celebration of spring’s gentle awakening and the powerful force of inspiration — a reminder that everything meaningful may still lie ahead.
