Original artwork description:

I painted these lilacs in spring, when the air was still cool but already carrying the promise of warmth. The branches in the vase seemed to reach beyond the canvas, so alive and restless they appeared. I wanted each brushstroke to breathe, to carry the pulse of light within shades of violet, pink, and green.

Lilacs always remind me of transience: they bloom so abundantly, so generously, and yet fade so quickly. Perhaps that is why I love painting them — they hold both beauty and melancholy at once.

The vase I made transparent, filled with reflections, as if an entire world were hidden in the water and glass. Every brushstroke shimmers and shifts, echoing the breath of the flowers.

For me, this painting is not just a still life. It is a quiet conversation with life itself — about its fullness, its generosity, and its fragility.
This artwork is made by traditional technology. Oil paints, canvas and linseed oil. I love to write etudes from life in a bright impressionistic manner. Small colorful strokes form a rainbow palette. I will try to convey the movement of air masses and the difference between illuminated and shady places.

Materials used:

Oil paints.
