History of the city of Chernihiv. This painting depicts the house of V.V. Tarnovsky, which previously housed the Museum of Ukrainian Antiquities, and now houses a library for youth. This beautiful building survived the Second World War unscathed, but was damaged by an air raid by the Russian military in 2022. The second version of the painting. This work was done in a studio, based on a sketch painted at the scene.
