This is a favourite subject, of which I have painted several variations over the years. These Italian lemons were beautifully knobbly and shiny, with a few leaves still attached. They are laid on a rough stone slab, with sunlight cutting in from the side.
This painting will be framed with a simple black wooden moulding (not shown in the photos), and the overall framed size will be 65cm wide, 35cm high and 4cm deep.
