“Freedom,” she said,
“Isn't that what you search for?”
“It feels empty,” the Flamingo replied.

“The bird dreams of sky.”
“And you?”
“I dream of not needing one.”
Outside, the night waited without asking.

✦ Blue Pear Saga ~ Chronicle 22 ✦

Inhabited by animals, this world unfolds like a forgotten dream. Despite its enchanting and harmonious facade, it conceals tension beneath the surface, illustrating the interconnectedness of the past, human creations, and the untamed wilderness.

Within these settings, animals surpass their physical forms, becoming powerful symbols. They act as metaphors, illustrating the connections between the natural world and the societies we build.

This painting belongs to an ongoing series I've been creating since 2013. Flamingoes are a recurring motif in my work, symbolizing resilience and our profound connection to the natural world. I often imbue them with human-like characteristics.
