Original artwork description
Ink, acrylic and pearlised paint on fine birch ply
This large-scale colour study comprises of two separately painted gradients which have been cut into fine strips. The stripes are composed alternately to one another to create opposing colours.
The paint is carefully blended to a fine enough consistency that it soaks into the birch ply surface leaving the sheen and texture of the wood grain to show through the colour. The stripes are kept in order so the movement of the woodgrain follows one to the next creating a soft movement through the artwork.
80cm x 80cm (including white mount board panel)
86x86cm framed with a UV perspex glaze perfect for shipping overseas.
