This is a painting of a sea and sky I observed on the empty beach in Lanzarote in January 2020. The sun was beginning to set behind heavy clouds, sending some rays of light through a few gaps, reflecting in the silver sea. I loved the limited colours, dramatic contrast and desolate feeling of this winter scene
