A beautiful orange-yellow background - a sunset with rocky mountain ridges seeping through in contrast on their shadow side. This work is an invention, a ruse, an illusion that the artist has created to sum-up his experience of the island of Tenerife.

Lush cactus life and green palm trees on arid mountain faces, the island is filled with magic and tremendous views.

"I wanted to capture some of that magic that I felt while visiting Tenerife" said Dominic Virtosu, "it seems to me as the agglomeration of shapes and leaves of all sorts really brings forth the richness of this especially colorful landscape".
